Broken iRobot

Well, it's about one month and the roomba wasn't functioning. Maybe my house is too dirty! I clean the brushes and the bin and the filter every time! So I returned it the Costco and bought a new one. Let's see if the new robot dies too early.

The good news is that the month the roomba was active, my floor was impeccably clean. It never fell down the stairs. The docking is a bother though, as roomba is hard to see the base. The machine doesn't remember where the obstacles are, though I which it does. I've got a place that the machine get stuck, and I used a vitual wall instead. And it doesn't see socks either.

Seems that everyone is leaving

My friends are going to Taiwan on Friday for vacation. Some others with go to Taiwan next week. One more month till there back, and school is in session ;)

Washer & Dryer

My wife parents have been without their washer for months if not years. So when I knew that there machine was broken, my wife and I decided to buy a washer. The machine was in a closet- it was small and compact. On Friday (7-4), we bought a GE from Home-Depot. Then, my parents-in-laws found a in-expensive model from Kenmore. I canceled the Home Depot one and bought the Sears machine, or I thought. Today sears came early, and the machine was set, but the Home Depot never refunded me (a week later!) so we went to see why we hadn't see the refund. My parent-in-laws called when we were talking to Home Depot rep, and there was a second machine! I was mad, but my wife was on it- Seems that the delivery people never 'canceled', but the GE and home depot computers said it was canceled. ARG!!!

A Geeks Desk

My Desk. And it's pretty clean now, except that there's four computers underneath and a printer. The oldest stuff is in the garage. The oldest is a 1200 baud modem, a CD player, and an ISDN modem. Ouch. And there is more. It's funny that I never sold them...

Ni Hao!

My Chinese sucks. Seriously. But I try to speak when I've got a chance. My son hates me to speak Chinese, as he can speak with out the tone problems. I read some pinyin books, just to learn new vocabulary. And I listen to ChinesePOD (no account though). But I'm slow, and I'm not putting money in a service yet...

My house isn't clean. Ever. So I've got a maid. Well, a iRobot. It's slow but it works! The cat thinks it a big mouse. I've told the kids to keep things off the carpet. It's better than me vacuuming!

Quarry Lakes

Well, Melissa and Sean went to Quarry Lakes for a field trip from school. They had fun- but Sean got a sunburn... The flakes from his skin are shredding...

Spring break!

Well, my kids are in spring break. That means that I'm in trouble. Sean is in 2.5 hours of basketball camp (whew!). And Wushu eats up some of the week. The relaxing time is gone though. Sigh...


My niece have a engagement party. I think that they're marrying in Japan and moving there. She's Chinese, and the guy is Japanese. And she doesn't speak Japanese (yet!)
